This is my first anniversary...how exactly does a survivor get the masks?

    You need to find the Invitation around the map. It's a blue-ish pedestal with a scroll looking item on it. You just interact with it, then either escape or open the gates and you get the mask for a random character in the lobby. It does teleport every 2 mins, or after someone grabs it so you'll need to hunt for it.

    A random character in the lobby? I finally found an invitation, escaped but no mask for any of my characters...

    You get random Surv and Killer masks.

    If you don´t own the char the mask is for it stays in your inventory but you can´t see it until you get that char.

    Is there a way to see which mask you have gotten? I've escaped with two invitation but yet to see a mask....

    No.

    It shows after the game when you return to lobby on the bottom of the screen. And there is the number like 8/12 - so you see how much you already got.

    I don't believe this to be the case since there is only 12 and its both survivor and killer masks.

    You have to get the invitation, before end game collapse. You most likely found one after end game collapse. Get an invitation, you only need to survive till end game collapse has started. It's okay if you die after it, you'll still get the mask! (that is randomly given to you, and its masks for certain killers and survivors!) enjoy your first anniversary bro <3.

    (End game collapse is that big yellowish / red bar that starts to go down) so once exit gates are opened, or if you're last survivor and hatch is closed!
