Nemesis tentacules need to pass through the window same if the survivor crouch

I mean sometimes you use the power of nemesis but that doesn't hit the survivor Because he crouches, I find it unfair

  • Why is it unfair?

The tentacles mechanic is like a ray of light going one direction and whatever object with collision it hits first gets hit, nothing behind it; everything that would cast a shadow gets hit. A survivor behind an objct with no head or butt sticking out does not collide with the tentacle, ergo they don't get hit.

On the flipside; if the head sticks out you can hit the survivor. You can hit over quite a number of pallet loops, effectively turning a lot of areas on a map into dead zones even if there is a pallet loop. It takes practise to get those hits / know where you can and can't get hits - but it also takes practise on the survivor's part to know the timing of the tentacle and crouch / turn in time. The whole crouching behind a window thing isn't nearly as easy as it sometimes looks from the killer pov.

  • Definitely disagree, his chase power is already very strong, counterplay like that is very much needed and important.

  • Nemesis is already a very strong chase killer so imo the way the crouch mechanic works with line of sight is a good counter to his ability. His tentacle attack is already forgiving due to the fact that the attack lingers for a bit and allows you to drag the tentacle and still hit the survivor.

  • Is chase power is already strong, very strong

Well yes it's DBD what would you expecting my guy?

  • My biggest issue with this is the inconsistency with the animations.

The hitbox for a tentacle attack is essentially a spike that shoots out in front of the Nemesis, which is high enough to pass over most objects, but therefore also dodgeable by crouching down.

The animation for this however is the Nemesis using his tentacle to whip the Survivors. He flings it up in the air and then down at them from above, meaning when a Survivor crouches down to dodge the attack it will visually hit them, but pass straight through them with them taking no damage.

And this, unsurprisingly, feels very bad and unfair towards the Killer, as they do get the visual feedback of a hit, but then just dont get it.
