A little help with Legion's addon please

Can someone explain to me what exactly do these "smiley pins" do ? Whenever I use them I really don't feel that anything has chagned. They say the reduce power gauge depletion on successfull attacks but that doesn't make sence to me since succesfull attacks restore whole power bar on unhit survivors.
Maybe I'm just really slow but I really can't find what do they do for me.

    They mean when you normally M1 someone, since by default it drains all of your power, the smiley pins make it not drain it all. Still a worthless add-on in most cases.

    If that is what it does then I'm really dissapointd with it. Pity that an addon that is supposed to represent this killer is so bad.
