A hatch suggestion removing the stand-off for both killer and survivor sides

Hello and thank you for taking your time of reading this post, I'm new to these forums and rarely post at all anywhere in general so I'll get straight to the point:

The hatch rework idea given by the devs at the moment feels both very much welcomed and very much hated by the community, so I've thought of a different design for this said hatch closing mechanism. Next paragraph will explain the basic functioning of the concept.

(Note that the numbers following are purely designed to give an example, their balance is questionable) Once only one survivor remains alive, a timer of 3 minutes will count down. Once the timer reaches 0, the hatch will close itself.
However... If the survivor completes a gen, the timer will reset back to its initial 3 minutes. Since repairing a generator solo is 1min20s, it'll give a margin of time for the survivor to prepare his strategy (P.S Completing a gen will NOT reopen the hatch if the timer already reached 0, this forces the survivor to act quick and smart).
Next paragraph will now talk about how this concept would actually rework the hatch quite perfectly and remove all kinds of hatch stand-offs while balancing it for both sides.

If the survivor decides to do a hatch stand-off with the killer, the timer will go down and the hatch will close, forcing them to jump in before the timer ends (risking a grab), lure the killer away or... Try to work on gens.
If the killer decides to stay around the hatch, the survivor will have time to successfully complete a gen, resetting the timer back to its initial 3 minutes, and the killer would have wasted his time while the survivor gets closer to his objective.

In a case of a 3 gen around the hatch, the whole idea stays perfectly identical, more difficult but doable.
In case all gens are powered, the hatch can manually be closed by the killer, following the initial idea given by the devs.

Thank you for reading this idea of mine, please feel free to explain your feelings about it in the comments and suggest anything.
