General challenges.

We should be able to automatically validate the challenges and daily rituals and therefore automatically recover the rewards without having to select them.

  • I agree somewhat - but there are plenty of times when it is not viable for a player to redeem.

For instance, you have 800k bp and want to play a few more times before going to bed. You're on a roll!

You have a 150k bp ritual award.

You plan on playing a couple of matches - getting anywhere between 70-120k points with your perks and offerings. After which, you'll leave the game and when you pick it up tomorrow, you'll spend all the BP in your reserves and THEN redeem the 150k to begin your next climb.

But if this challenge auto-redeems, you end up with 950k and wont be able to play another match - what if you get 32kbp in your next match? Your BPS would have been wasted, because the BP cap means you'd LOSE bp. Now you gotta stop what you're doing and go to the bloodweb and spend the next 5-6 minutes tanking the points into characters so that you're prepared to climb again. Maybe just go to bed early, who knows?

Tons of streamers just keep the challenges around as quick pick-me-ups after dumping their pool of bp into something. It's like having a little redeemable bank account.

I, for one, don't always redeem - and I've seen many others hold off on redeeming theirs as well - so I'm skeptical as to the reception such a change would invite.

  • Absolutely not something that should be made mandatory. If you want it to be an option, have players have to purposely select it from the options menu and have it default to "don't auto redeem". I and many other players save up a ton of challenges and dailies for when a new chapter comes out to help us level the new survivor/killer.

  • In this case the simplest idea would be to add a wallet function in the game to put blood points and side shards.
