Survivor ranking is easy
Before u eat me, i never touched survivor until recently just because i did all killer challenges, but i just noticed the fact that as a survivor i didn't touch a single gen and just went around the map looking for dull totems to destroy and yet somehow i gained a rank progress is dumb
While in killer, if you kill all survivors too fast : Entity displeased
If you don't kill anyone : Entity displeased
you don't go around gens too much : don't get a rank progress
and so many things that just can screw you, just getting out of the game with like a happy 2k and then realizing the game didn't even give u a single rank progress is just kinda depressing
Like i know doing totems isn't a thing anymore in high MMR but still, it shouldn't give a rank

Ranks should be removed from the game because they don't do anything now that mmr is enabled.
The grades you are given in the game don't actually mean anything. That's not your rank nor is it used for matchmaking. Your actual rank used for matchmaking is invisible so you should just ignore the colored grades because it doesn't do or mean anything in the game.

Yes, thats why you will have iridescent 1 players in your match who are absolute potatoes.
Yeah, your MMR is completely invisible and is pretty much only based on your escapes as survivor and kills as killer. The grades used to be your rank but then they changed to MMR and just made them useless. The grades technically have value because they reward you with bloodpoints at the end of the month but that's it.
The lower the rank... the lower the standards... If that's the case for killers, it's the same for survivors.
You probably started with Ash, which means even doing the bare bone (no pun intended) minimum, you'll receive a pip.
I can F around with survivors as Ash killer and it'll be the same.
I think you're just unfamiliar with the game's mechanics regarding ranks...

Ranks were and still is working the same. The only difference is back then, we didn't have an MMR. Now we do.
That's a bit of an exaggeration. Given the requirements to pip up at Iri grades it's impossible to not contribute and still get there (generally, a pip requires 3 gens done, 2 safe unhooks, 2 health states healed 45 seconds of being chased and surviving 9 minutes). I agree completely there's a wide variation between skill but you can't just log in and pip up.
