If you mean melee then it depends on the latency & connections. I've fast vaulted a window and taken like three steps & still gotten hit.

Look at a window this way

it doesnt protect you from attacks, only prevents the killer from walking through it

There is no official distance, it’s latency based. The type of vault also affects it.
