Link Account
I wanna link my Microsoft acc with Steam. But not available. Currently, 40 thousand people are playing the game through Steam. If 40 thousand people play from other platforms, it means that the game is played simultaneously by a total of 80 thousand people.Despite this, I cannot link my Microsoft account with accounts such as Steam, Amazon, Xbox, and Google.
Smite, on the other hand, is currently played by 8 thousand people via Steam. But you can link your Smite account with accounts such as: Steam, Amazon, Microsoft, Xbox, Google. Its ridiculous that there is no such feature in a game that is played simultaneously by 80 thousand people.
If you care about your players: instead of constantly bringing new characters or outfits, take care of such important issues. Thanks...

I mean, if you wanna act as the contractual solicitor and attempt to navigate the legal minefield that is cross-play, as revealed through the Apple v Epic Games lawsuit, go right ahead.
Spoiler alert, as someone that's actually very interested in this, it's very expensive, and very complicated. Which shockingly, is what we've been told time and time again- "We will try this, we know you want this, we know we want this, we will try our best, we cannot promise anything because of how volatile and complex this issue is."
(and just for a bit more context; BHVR Interactive earned ~$266 million in revenue- not profit, revenue- last year, according to GrowJo. Source. Epic games earned ~$1.8 billion in revenue. Source.)
I have no idea about the lawsuit lol :D
And I'm not an Apple user.

Cool, neither am I. But in it we got some very nifty details about how cross-progression works in Fortnite; any purchases made on one account will be given to all accounts, however the cost of these purchases must be paid in full to all other platforms. Buying VBucks on Xbox would need you to pay Sony and Nintendo (and Apple) the same amount of money.
My assumption is that BHVR have negotiated differently; whilst I can't see their contract, we can see their details on how cross-progression works; any purchases will not transfer across (though any auric cells obtained organically, like through the rift, will be kept and transferrable). They're still trying to get it to work on Nintendo Switch (something promised ages ago), and now must also renegotiate with Microsoft (usually they're pretty okay to these things) and Sony (who are famously the worst when it comes to anything cross-progression related). Which is understandable because they make ~1.6 billion less than Epic Games does.
So, again, it's a long and complicated process including far too many negotiations. What has been said is they will try, as they want it, and the community wants it, but nothing can be promised because of how complex it is.
And to assert that by not having cross-progression, they are killing their game (which, from the most recent official statistics, is doing just fine) and do not care about their players, is just objectively false.
Dead by Daylight Windows version, € 20 at the Microsoft Store, this price is the same on Steam. Also, compared to June 2021, there is a decrease in the number of players playing the game.
