Boon nerf - my idea
Many killers nowadays are frustrated with how ridiculously overpowered Circle of Healing is. You can be insanely skilled and keep injuring everyone, but all it takes is just 1 survivor running this 1 perk (CoH), and you keep losing the pressure insanely fast. You can snuff out the boon, but they can just keep rebooning easily. I do love the boon perks, they are something refreshing in DBD, but they need balancing in my opinion.
2 things I would apply to boon perks is:
1) When you boon a totem, unless/until the killer snuffs it out, you cannot boon another totem.
2) When the killer snuffs out your boon totem, all of your equipped boon perks go on a 45 or 60 seconds cooldown. During the cooldown, you cannot boon any totem. Once the cooldown elapses, you can boon any totem once again.
This would disincentivize survivors from just mindlessly booning and rebooning, without any strategy or fear of the snuffing. Survivors would bear in mind that the place and the time of booning is important, and shouldn't be done carelessly, due to the above 2 restrictions. Survivors would need to find a good place where the killer is unlikely to patrol, and then boon there. Also, survivors in chase would need to make an effort to not loop the killer near the boon, for the possibility of the killer learning about that boon spot, and snuffing out the totem.
This would also help when a killer is running Hex: Pentimento, so the survivors can't just boon over all the totems (rather than destroying them), and thus denying the killer the ability to rekindle totems.
The freedom of booning and rebooning right now, without any downsides is harmful to killers, and elicits desperate strategies (tunneling and camping, especially the person who boons). Boon perks are fun and fresh, but they shouldn't be (virtually) no risk with high rewards. Killers' hex totems are high risk high reward. I think boon totems should at least be moderate risk (snuffing, the cooldown) - high reward. Currently there are no risks in booning, the time spent booning is insignificant, compared to the benefits the ENTIRE team gets from just 1 person using this 1 perk.
