Booning a totem automatically makes the survivor the obsession so the killer knows who to tunnel out of the game immediately. This provides a little bit of counterplay and makes boons less BORING to play against

do you by chance mean frustrating instead of boring? cause yall use that word a LOT for things you dont like
While they need changes, I don’t think that’s the way to do it. A lot of killers won’t necessarily want an obsession swap depending on the perks they’re using.
Now a Killer perk that obsession swaps to anyone who makes a Boon could be worth considering, though I don't like the idea of it being used to facilitate tunneling
