Post-ptb Onryo feedback
After playing the new killer on live version i'd like to share the feedback on post-ptb changes and suggest some more changes.
Manifesting/Demnifesting changes
Reduced Manifesting/Demanifesting time to 1.5 seconds
This change is really good, it allows her to get a hit very quickly on a survivor who is working on a generator, healing etc and it also allows her use it in chases in some ways using her temporary invisibility after manifesting.
Condemned changes
Reduced the amount of condemned segments removed after inserting a tape to 3 segments.
Reduced the time it takes to passively gain a condemned segment while holding the tape to 25 seconds.
While these changes are nice, there are still problems with the mechanic: the way you get condemned and how easy it is to remove condemned.
The main way the survivors will get condemned is through killer TV teleport, the problem with it is that it takes so much time for the TV to turn on after the teleport and the survivors taking the tape will probably just instantly use the highlighted TV to get rid of condemned and most of the time the game will select a TV that is pretty close to the survivor.
Suggestion:
Increase the time it takes to insert/take a tape from 2 seconds to 4 seconds.
Change the way the game decides which TV is the one that removes condemned similar to Pyramid Head's cages. The chosen TV that removes condemned should be the one that is pretty far from the survivor (not the farthest TV but the one that is pretty far, like 50-60 meters away)
Add more ways to gain condemned. Gain condemned through unhooking, healing and other interactions with the condemned survivor.
These changes should make removing condemned much slower and make condemned spread to other survivors more.
Demanifested Visbility/Terror Radius changes
Reduced Terror Radius to 24 meters
Reduced the range the survivor must be within to see the killer while demanifested to 24 meters
Reduced lullaby range while demanifested to 24 meters
These changes are also good, but i feel like the lullaby should be removed.
TVs
Sadly, TVs didn't get any changes from ptb. TVs suffer from their very long cooldown of 100 seconds if the killer teleports to the TV. While TVs are the best mobility tool in the game, they dont deserve such a harsh cooldown.
I'd suggest reducing the current cooldown time of TVs turned off by the killer by 20 seconds if the killer hits someone withing the 8 second window after manifesting or teleporting to a TV(similar to the "Iridescent Videotape" addon).
And that's it, Im really happy with the new killer and she's pretty fun to play but she still needs some changes to address her weaker points.
