It's Now March 2022 And The Interaction Button Still does 12 Things.
Here's the TL;DR - so you don't have to waste time. On both Killer & Survivor side the interaction Button does way too many things. This could be easily fixed in numerous ways. LONG - ON THE SURVIVOR SIDE - if you want to say heal and or drop a pallet, you don't know which one you are going to do. The same would go for healing or using an item and climbing into a locker or such. Also, if a locker is too close to a window and you don't run directly at either, you don't know which one you're going to go into. This is just one of many examples. The list definitely goes on.
ON THE KILLER SIDE - if a survivor is down near a window or pallet, you may interact with the pallet or window as opposed to picking up the survivor like you would wish and this can screw you in a number of ways setting you up for flashlights so on so forth. This happens especially at Windows as you vote them trying to pick up a survivor as well as lockers.
A simple fix would to be to separate any actions that have the potential to overlap. So over survivor goes down. Just change that button. But this can also be a problem and Survivor cases when a window is directly next to a locker and you want to vault the window, but instead you go into a locker.
They could easily make a binding option for specifically picking up the survivor that would fix a lot of this, but should extend the option to Killer inn Survivor to make each location. Example window locker palette all potentially different bindings if the players should desire. There's no potential exploit here to break the game or anything like that. This is straight up, just a quality of life change that would tremendously alleviate a lot of stress from most of the community base

Edit; only speaking from the console standpoint can't speak for PC players. As it stands right now, there is no way to separate these many actions. Not looking for a solution so please don't post yours. Just trying to start a dialogue and mainly spread awareness of this issue that the debs don't seem to think or know exist
