Hillbilly is just a worse version of Oni
Alright so, a lot has been said already about the nerf Hillbilly receive about a year ago or so. But now the thing is not that hes good or bad, its just that theres a killer, that does what he does but better, more easily and in a less punishing way. What does oni have that Billy doesn't? Oni can: Instadown multiple surviors cannibal style, his power doesn't overheat while using it constantly and, the biggest advantage over Hillbilly the Oni has, is that he doesn't go into a full on stun everytime his toe touches a pixel of a wall.
Think about it, how many times have you been just going through the map as Billy, you're approaching a gen or a survivor and then a tiny piece of junk scattered around the map that you couldn't even see in your screen makes you bump and then go into a full on 3 second long stun, as you see the survivor fleeing away or the generator getting completed in your face?
Now you can say that the Oni suffers from the same thing, but for the oni to bump into something he has to miss with his m1 attack while dashing or holding his Kanabo up ready to lunge, unlike Billy who needs to have a degree in harvards to keep one eye to outmanneuver the survivor running circles around him and another eye on his chainsaw charge bar and then finally release it only to either: bump into a rock, miss the survivor entirely and lose a ton of distance by the time the Billy lets go of the chainsaw or by a miracle, actually chainsaw the survivor.
Now what does oni do in this situation? He dashes, runs up to the survivor, taps m1 and there you go, chase over. Or just stop dashing and hold down m1 and release when the survivor is in front of you.
Of course, Hillbilly has the obvious advantage that he can use his power right off the bat and zoom around the map, but if you really want to go around the map running like a madman then you might as well have selected Blight.
So what do we get out of all this? I personally think that Billy should have like 1 second- Half a second window of time where his chainsaw slides over obstacles and walls, so those moments where you're about to pull off the sickest curve of your life arent cut short because you were a bit too close to the wall. Or better yet, just reduce or make bumping less punishing. What do you guys think?
