Make prestiging a character worth it
Hello everyone,
lets not beat around the bush: the game has an enormous grind, and that is elevated even more by the prestige system, that somehow wants you to grind even more, but gives so very, very little in return. Here are some fixes to the prestige system.
1) When you unlock the bloody weapon/body/head for killers or the bloody torso/legs/head for survivors, this only gives you the very basic attire in a bloody outfit. If you play the game for any lenth of time, you will soon acquire different beautiful, fun or cool outfits and soon there will be very little incentive to do all that work for one basic bloody cosmetic. So make it so that you don't acquire one specific set of bloody cosmetics, but get a checkbox on each unlocked cosmetic set, that will apply a shader. So with P1 you could bloody veins and blood dripping down from any killer weapon. It would basically not look as good as handcrafting the effect, but you would get SOMETHING out of this for every outfit.
2) With each prestige rank increase the ranks of new found perks in the bloodweb. So with P1 you will no longer find T1 perks, only T2 and up. With P2 you will find everything at T3, and P3 finally will give you the option to re-roll the bloodweb for 10k BP.
3) Each prestige level unlocks one slot, like perk slots, on the bloodweb. When you click on the slot you can select any add-on, item or offering that can be found in the bloodweb of that character. Whatever you select now has +x% chance of appearing on a bloodweb; I would go with +50% or even +100%, the actual number is debateble, but it should be big enough that you feel the difference. This way people could farm for their most used add-ons, or maybe even blood party streamers for more wholesome games and lesser grind for everyone.
I actually want to see all three changes implenented. Doing so would make it very worthwile to prestige a character. I recently got Oni to P3 and dayum, the blood on his mask is nearly invisible, no one will ever notice and say "wow, that player surely likes Oni, look, he got him prestiged!", like there is no point to prestige him that high up because you cant even notice the difference yourself, without looking at him really hard. And I bet that some survivors would LOVE to prestige some characters just to apply the bloody shader to it, so this might actually curb sales of cosmetics, because it now opens up so much more creative use.
