Devs, please take a look at this and consider it (Content creators too! feedback is welcome)
These are my ideas for reworked purple and iridescent Pyramid Head add-ons. I have a horrible feeling that when the add-ons are tweaked, (let's use the Book of Lost Memories for example) It will just be a slight increase of the numbers, in that case changing the duration of Obliviousness from 15 seconds, to 30, or something like that.
The problem with these add-ons is that the effect is too weak, the status effect itself is too weak for a purple or Iridescent rarity add-on. So please keep that in mind while reading these, I am a Pyramid Head main so these add-ons could possibly be on the stronger side, but at the very least please take inspiration from these, as THIS is the type of change I and many others would love to see. I've also included my reasoning for each add-on change
Obsidian Goblet - Any survivor who is hit by the Punishment Of The Damned attack is immediately put into the dying state only if they are standing on a Rites of Judgement trail. The effect lingers for 3 seconds.
“The effects of this addon are simply too weak for an iridescent, regardless of the insane criteria to gain the undetectable status. Undetectable in this scenario is not very strong in my opinion, if you are standing over a trail and you WANT the undetectable status, it probably means you're in a position where you want to hit through a wall, or not in direct line of sight, in which case, your red stain wouldn't even be valuable to lose. If you use the addon while not in chase, instead of using it to deceive survivors, that means that best-case scenario, you trick them and you gain a free hit after standing still for a bit of time. In most cases, the addon is just not worth it.”
Crimson Ceremony Book - Survivors affected by Rites of Judgement now leave a highlighted bright torment, it is now visible through walls up to 64 meters away
"Same thing here, the hemorrhage effect is next to useless for most killers; survivors already leave enough blood normally to reliably track them by using blood only. You could have this effect be a brown addon maybe but it would still be useless, way too weak. This would play into the better tracking of this addon while also fitting it thematically."
Lost Memories Book - Survivors affected by Rites of Judgement suffer from the Oblivious Status Effect until they become tormented by any means
"A simple change, obliviousness doesn’t hide red stains, most torments happen during the chase, and if they step on the trail far away, 15 seconds is nowhere near enough time to tackle advantage of it, especially with perks like alert, spin chill, premonition, etc."
Scarlett Colored Egg - When survivors become tormented, they gain an additional 2.5% movement speed, they also suffer from the Exposed status effect. This effect lingers for 30 seconds
"Trying to fit the addon thematically, I think this is a great solution to that. Exposed add-ons are primarily iridescent addons and for good reason. This gives the survivors a benefit on top of this, making the exposed status effect weaker, and creating a more dynamic chase element"
Rust Colored Egg - Survivors affected by Rites of Judgement suffer from the hindered status effect for 2.5 seconds
"Again, I think hindered is a suitable status effect for an addon of purple rarity. This also feels fitting to the add-on. to fit the more dark-colored egg, it should give an effect that makes survivors feel at least somewhat uncomfortable. Using this add-on would encourage survivors to run from certain tiles when the trails are laid down, while not shutting down loops that are insanely strong, and are meant to be."
