Patching Times
Hope this isn't in the wrong place and please don't sacrifice me on a hook if it is;
It's not a new thing and I'm sure it's been talked about at some point, but the amount of disk work that needs to be done for every minor patch is crazy.
92.7MB minor bugfix patch today, and 14.8GB of disk work to do- which needs to verify after it completes taking another period of time. THEN it needs to install.
This can take super long to complete and Steam isn't always great at auto updating or letting you know ahead of when you come to try and play. Just wanted to see if BHVR have said anything about looking to improve this or any others have similar problems.
Peace.

It's being worked on. Currently, steam already benefits from a reduces installation size. Consoles are coming soon TM,
As far as I'm aware the installation size isn't the issue, if they continue to compress files into huge archives doesn't that just make the patch time longer? As steam has to copy and open larger groups of files to edit them, meaning more disk work. At least that's how I've understood it.
What currently happens on all platforms sans Steam is that each individual "pak" which the game is composed of must be completely reinstalled and changed if even the slightest bit of data is changed. This leads to massively long patching times, as you're only really downloading small bits of data which go into different paks which causes absolutely mayhem. The Steam version has had work done on trying to ammend this issue by changing how paks are compressed, I believe.
