Question about Hexes

I've been playing all hex builds recently and they are good, underrated and quite fun. Im trying out builds (all hexes) built around Hex Pimento so i need to know something.

1: Does Thrill of The Hunt take up 2 Hexes on the map and when 1 gets destroyed the other becomes a dull totem?

2: Same question but for Haunted Grounds


I already know about Plaything but im trying to see if its absolutely necessary for Hex: Pimento or not
