Steam sale prices make no sense.
I have a brand new friend who's asking what they should buy in the steam sale, and I noticed that the discounted prices make no logical sense.
All of the (normal) chapters are usually $9.95, discounted by 50%, and the Survivor and Killer expansion packs cost $42.95, discounted by only 20%.
As each contains 1/2 of 11 chapters, the total of those chapters is usually $109.45, and the expansions together are cheaper at $85.90.
While on sale, however, the 11 chapters cost $54.67 all up, while the expansions cost MORE than the content within them at $68.72.
Considering that the expansions contain less than the individual chapters as they don't come with the unique chapter cosmetics you get for purchasing full chapters from the store, it makes no sense to have the expansion packs discounted by a lower percentage.
Since the same content is there right next to it for a lower price, the only possible purpose this serves is to confuse newer players into spending more money because they assume that it would be better to buy the bulk packs.

Yeah, it's getting pretty stupid honestly. Hope they start packaging some of their non-licensed dlcs into one or 2 packs up to the current or past year or pack the dlcs based on what year they came out in. They probably won't do this since, why would they? not really any business reason to do this unless their older dlcs start really hurting for sales.
