Dead by Daylight is poison now
I've been playing this game for a while now. At first it was okay, the bugs of course and balancing RNG and killer's power was the main focus. But now its changed into something completely else. Ever since they tried to change the rank system it slowly regressed. At first rank system was fine, but the issue was finding players in the same rank for a match. So they started mixing ranks. So survivors with high ranks versus low rank killers and vice versa. High rank survivors would also be mixed in with low ranks and would absolutely have to carry the team in order to win. This mixup is what started the grand issue today. Devs tried taking matters into their own hands and decided to directly control players experiences. At first is was terrible RNG for the average survivor. Do you remember when maps had barely enough pallets? When survivors began learning to conserve pallets? Or the death corners, for example Mt Ormund? Before this Dev control, survivors used to just drop pallets like nothing and neither loop or mind game whatsoever. This isn't an issue anymore as maps have returned to their original pallet count, but Devs are still controlling your experience. Have you noticed if you played one match very successfully, the very next match you are up against much stronger players? And vice versa. This control has caused players to rely on the system and not their own skill. So many survivors expect to be carried. They don't do gens. They unhook you less than 10 seconds on hook. They hide and run across the map the second they hear a terror radius. Players have refused to learn the game and refuse to improve themselves. It's not 100% the Devs fault, but not 100% their fault either. Camping is more frequent then ever and since there is little you can do about it with base mechanics why bother getting better? Many killers believe they can't win unless they camp and tunnel. Gens can fly before you can even down 3 people.
DBD is an attractive game because it's the only kind of it's gameplay. But it's poison. It gets you to play out of boredom because you've played everything else. But in the end the amount of fun never exceeds the frustration. Insufferable teammates who never learn and camping and tunneling. Even with SWF it's hardly any fun because knowledgeable teammates will make gens fly and the match will last 5-6 minutes. Unless of course the killer camps and tunnels which isn't any fun either. That kind of gameplay removes the need to loop and mind game which is the fun part of the game. This game is hardly fun and can be extremely frustrating. Devs know for sure because I'm certain they have recieved ugly messages and even death threats. Because of this nature players only get satisfaction by being toxic. The idea of shitting on killers and purposely doing things to hurt players' feelings. Or killers camping and tunneling thus putting out survivor players early that experience little gameplay. And it gets worse. Not only does this game breed toxicity, but also cheaters. Some people cheat to increase their toxicity, but more people cheat to bear the frustration. So they will cheat, but do it very subtle. It's difficult to notice. A few more percent in speed. A few less seconds in recovery, heals, and exhaustion. All possible and it's only going to increase. You see DBD makes money off cheaters. They ban them and then cheaters just buy the game again. DBD Devs don't want to let go of that money. If anything they want more.
I hope this post helps you in quitting DBD. It's no secret and even Devs have encouraged frustrated players to stop playing. There are a few other post on this topic, but I think mine goes into more detail and helps you to stop drinking this poison even if you bored as hell. Because this game belongs in hell.

neat
He probably said something interesting but Iโm not reading all that.
Nah. They just whined and then claimed the game is 'poison' and hoped they 'helped people quit'. ๐
You know; instead of just leaving because they're unhappy, they had to scream they're leaving for the validation.
Oh, thanks for the TLDR.
I'd actually suggest reading it.
I feel the other commenter is misrepresenting it.
I wrote it to also convinced myself to stop as well. I've left before, but came back after they added Pinhead. Interesting enough my post mentions people like you. And i think your name AngyKiller is spot on.
