A bit worried about a 4 man report accusation...

Yo, so i was playing some basement trapper for my archive and in the end game chat, they said they would report me for body blocking and holding the game hostage, i am pretty confused as the body blocking i did seemed pretty tame, the body blocking which i remember was at basement when somebody got unhooked, i would try block the unhooker/unhookee as they come up the basement stairs for various reasons, the 2nd time was during the end game collapse, the dwight was alone and as i was going back and forth checking the exit gates, i saw a red light on the gate so i checked the surrounding area to find dwight in a corner, there wasnt much time left on the timer so i decided to block him while nodding and let him die to the end game collapse, i thought it would be a funnier way to kill him rather than the traditional hook, i could see how it can be holding the game hostage but also it seems kinda fair, + i am positive he would not be able to open the gate especially while i was there. Please tell me if im in the wrong and i could possible get banned or if im fine:)

Also! the guy who was mostly blaming me said he would throw in some trapper hacking footage just to make sure i get banned, in the case that i get banned is it possible to appeal and use evidence that i didnt do anything to get unbanned? and is saying that this is all being recorded on twitch/ youtube as a defence mechanism allowed even though i was not recording at all.

You have nothing to worry about unless you're really hacking which I doubt. Sounds like beginners thinking the rules apply to their situation it doesn't. It's all fair game unless you're blocking a survivor in a corner and going AFK.

Ignore it and move on.

This is nothing to be worried about, bodyblocking is only reportable if you're actually preventing the game from moving forward

Say if you had all survivors stuck in a corner because youre standing there refusing to move, that form of bodyblocking is reportable, as you are not letting the game progress

bodyblocking some one in a corner for endgame collapse to kill them is in no way holding the game hostage

You have nothing to worry about :)

Bodyblocking that results in someone dying to EGC can be bannable if it's done too early in the match, but your situation is not an example of that. That only applies if you start blocking someone before EGC has even started, and is obviously mostly focused on people that decide to just keep someone in a corner with several gens left.

If you didn't do anything that's against the rules, you won't get banned. And I doubt that megamind's idea of straight up forging evidence against you will work either, especially when you have them "on record" saying they're gonna do exactly that.

Don't let it bother you. Sometimes I wonder if the 'report' feature is mostly a placebo anyway :)

I've had this multiple times.

• Groups threatening to report me for 'focusing on people with pride pins' (when I'm actually just tunneling someone off hook).
• Groups threatening to report me for 'hacking' (when it's usually just Retribution+Plaything working it's magic, or sometimes Discordance, and once for using the iri box addon on Cenobite).
• Groups threatening to report me for 'holding the game hostage' when I decide to go a bit easy after they had a rage DC or got a bad bounce.
• Groups threatening to report me for 'unsportsmanlike conduct' for all sorts of things, usually just standard tunneling or camping someone who BMed me.

Nothing has ever come of it.

They wouldn't do anything without video proof anyways and most people don't have the motivation to clip 10-20 minutes of the game and try and send it to behavior. Also body blocking someone is a legit tactic as long as you don't try to keep them there forever and ever.
