Clarification on the interaction between Hex: Pentimento and Boon Totems.
Right, to start off, Hex: Pentimento is a new perk being released in the Portrait of a Murder Chapter, and is a Teachable perk from The Artist. Here's what it does:
Though it is worth noting the first and second effects have been swapped (in description only; the effect remains the same as it was always like this), with healing speed being first; thank you to @CookieBear's thread for pointing this out.
Now, this effect may be confusing, so I'll try my best to explain it here.
When using Hex: Pentimento, now Hex Totem bound to this perk will spawn on the map at the start of the Trial. Once a survivor has cleansed a Dull or Hex Totem, you are given the option to "resurrect" it as a Rekindled Totem. For every Rekindled Totem that remains on the map, you get different effects, stated in the perk. These Rekindled Totems are the Hex Totems that Hex: Pentimento binds itself to.
Now, these Rekindled Totems can be Cleansed or Blessed by survivors. This removes a Rekindled Totem from the Trial permanently- the bones are eaten by the Entity until a later date.
And yes- I meant to keep Blessing there. If you Bless a Rekindled Totem, it takes the 24 seconds needed to Bless a Hex Totem (as opposed to the usual 14) however there is no Boon Totem placed in it's place.
This is per the first iteration of the PTB, which has since recieved an update today, correcting the change in the perk description. I'm unsure, though doubtful, of if this will have been changed in the update today.
It doesn't add much more utility to the perk, however it's nice to know of the interaction.
