The continuation of modding within Dead by Daylight
I as well as many other DbD players were lucky enough to be apart of the modding community in DbD. I think modding for me at least sparked a new interest in the game and is something I think should come back. My first idea would be a safe BHVR endorsed modding scene with steam itself like so many other games have. I understand why the unpacking files method of DbD modding is removed. People started taking advantage and essentially cheating. I do find it funny how they removed modding but still haven’t said or done anything about blatant and actual cheating but that’s not my point. The Mod by Daylight discord is one of the best discord servers I have been in and seeing peoples wonderful art come to life in DbD was super cool. It brought such a unique and new aspect to the game that it needed. Seeing it go was sad and I think it could be really good and take off if it was supported by DbD itself. If they controlled it they could limit and oversee any mod that people submit. If any devs see this, please try and look into this as it was such a fresh and interesting thing to see. I emailed BHVR about it and was told to come here! I mean no rude intentions by this but it would be really cool to see modding come back.
