Dota 2 and DBD

There are about 130 heroes in Dota and updates are released every week

What prevents from releasing the same updates here + they are not afraid to change the established meta by killing popular heroes and raising those who are at the bottom of the rating

WHY IS NOT HERE ???

Add passive properties to survivors so that it would be interesting to change them because now it is useless skin

Comments

  • If survivors had passives one would be the meta pick and everyone would just play them

  • This is not a MOBA genre and adding passives would encourage Meta picks.

  • Numerical buffs and nerfs could come around more often.

This would allow perks to come in and out of the meta more often without changing their fundamental aspects. Dead Hard too strong? Make the exhaustion longer. Smash Hit too weak? Make the Hast last longer. Damn that was too much? No worry, just tune back the number...

I think the devs are underestimating the impact of numerical changes. However when you look at Hillbilly and his rescent add-on reworks you see that these things have a big impact. Or look at Ghostfaces power recovery: Just a numerical change to his cooldown, feels way better to play him.

Would be interesting until you remember that anything they change breaks something else in the game lol. If I recall correctly they changed the number on Wake me up and it instead made everything faster including vault speed.

    It's the same with murderers.

Everyone knows perfectly well what three I'm talking about

  • I really hope they don’t give passives for survivors. That would imbalanced so many things.

  • DBD is a very simple game to balance compared to the majority of multiplayer games. It has only 25 killers with mostly 1 ability each. Throw in some perks, most of which being useless, and you really don’t have that many variables to work with. The occasional timid number tweaking would more than suffice.

Unfortunately the devs have stated that balancing the game is too complicated, and they instead want to “embrace the chaos.”

DBD could be a phenomenal, but with that mentality, it will never come close to its potential.

  • They're different sorts of games. The nice thing about the sedentary meta in DBD is that there's comparatively little power creep. DotA has incredible power creep and just rolls with it in a way that DBD can't.

If you wish, they could really bring hundreds of combinations into the game.
