The game tells you your ping in lobby so if you see high ping you can just dodge the lobby

It's more annoying to the other 4 people playing in the round. Playing this game is not a right, and having a connection to the server is the least the game requires of you.

that is fair, but I mean, buying the game is basically a ticket to be allowed to play, right? also, I don't think people mind all that much, generally. I may be wrong on one or both counts.

If the game were your ticket to play, then would be able to play it offline. Stable internet connection is a prerequisite for this and all other internet multi-player games.

And throw a poll up here asking if people care when someone D/Cs, the answer may surprise you.
