Hillbilly Add On Pass - Steel Eyed - Post 5.3.2

Developers - First of all, thank you for the mid patch adjustments to Hillbilly. The changes made several of his addons much more useful and I hope there will be a few more adjustments to make Hillbilly a more fun killer. In that spirit, please consider the following changes to Hillbilly’s add ons:

  1. Iridescent Brick - Add: Increase Turn Speed during the Chainsaw Sprint by +14%.
  2. Apex Muffler - Add: Increase Turn Speed during the Chainsaw Sprint by +14%.
  3. Pighouse Gloves - Add: Decrease Pallet Stun Duration by -50% while revving the chainsaw, Chainsaw Sprinting, or overheating.
  4. Black Grease - Rework: Increase Charge Speed of the Chainsaw by +11% while in a chase with a survivor holding a flashlight.
  5. Big Buckle - Add: Decrease Terror Radius by -8 meters while revving the chainsaw, Chainsaw Sprinting, or overheating.
  6. Speed Limiter - Rework: Continue the Chainsaw Sprint after breaking a Pallet or Breakable Wall with the chainsaw. Survivors hit with the Chainsaw are damaged for a single Health State. Receive 150 more bloodpoints for Chainsaw Hit score events. (Notes: original LoPro Chains addon).

Discussion of proposed adjustments:

Iridescent Addons: Hillbilly's iridescents combined sound great on paper. A true silent Billy build? But in my opinion they are missing the one thing that would make them combine to the terror level they need. Navigation. I have found that each of these iridescents work better individually of each other and combined with a steering addon. But giving them both a nudge in Turn Speed would give them a reason to be combined together (two halves to the same whole) and give Billy players that extra something to make them feel that they are earning that Iridescent rarity.

Pighouse Gloves - I personally love the thinking behind this addon. My point of view is that limiting it to only overheating is too stringent. It does not work all that well to be intentionally overheating the chainsaw mid looping a survivor. By opening up the requirement to include revving, it gives a skill to the Hillbilly player to M2 at the right moment like a shield, or give the Hillbilly a more brazen attitude with pallets and holding the chainsaw. Adding the effect to the chainsaw sprint also gives the Hillbilly player an extra guard against survivors who are able to drop pallets with precise timing on Billy's mid-sprinting.

Black Grease - Hillbilly is currently designed in a way that the killer does not need to suffer a blind by holding the chainsaw. Also, having it based on a chase instead of a survivor action gives the power of the Hillbilly add on back to the Hillbilly player instead of the survivors. 11% was chosen because it still feels significant on its own and is responsibly capped at 36% if combined with Tuned Carberator.

Big Buckle - Big Buckle suffers from the same restrictive conditions as Pighouse Gloves. Expand those conditions to revving and steering, steering especially, and I believe more players will find usefulness in this addon. It will effectively become an uncommon version of the Iridescent Brick.

Again, thank you for reading. I hope that this stays in line with the spirit of Hillbilly's rework the developers committed to September of 2020 and that this ultimately results in Hillbilly becoming a more fun killer for the community to enjoy.

Thank you,

@Almo
