The hallowed blight lore problem

So there are many things in the hallowed blight event that don't work with the lore of the game.

1. Where is the laboratory? The Guy in the diary/cutscenes definitely wasn't in a trial because he didn't do generators.

2. But how is he able to meet the killers outside of a trial? He met the Trapper in the laboratory and he tried to kill the Guy. 

3. If the Killers can actually meet and kill the survivors outside of a trial, then whats the point of them?

4. Why did he die? He still had lots of hope but he died anyway

    1. In one of their lore panels, the devs said that there are different pockets in the Entity's realm. Many undiscovered. A laboratory could be in one of them.
    2. Because the Trapper is in the Entity's realm? I don't get the confusion here. The killers reside in the Entity's realm even outside of the trials.
    3. The Guy was never said to be a survivor.
    4. Hope is not the only emotion the entity feeds off. Also, not sure he died.

    #1. The guy is a mystery. The Laboratory might come into play when we have the mystery people in the lore make it to the game. It will happen eventually. You ask why the guys wasn't doing any gens? Because he is collecting nectar, which is pretty much I did this whole event, so I feel him. 

    #2. The lore never points out that things do not happen outside a trial. So there exists a parallel world, which may not necessarily be a trial, and where all the killers hangout.

    #3. We do not know who this guy is and how he had access to killers outside a trail. We do not know so far how things work out in the Entity's world outside of a trial. We need to wait and see how the lore takes form.

    #4. Who said he died? He is possibly transforming into a monster. A new killer, perhaps?

    Well, to be fair, this was their first time doing an event that was somewhat significant to the lore. It probably wasn’t perfect, sure, I agree. But, the whole controversy amongst the person that was used in this event was meant to be there, in my opinion. The hot topic makes it easy to generate hype- but right now, it’s purely smoke and mirrors.

    It might be worth it to read the lore pages on deadbydaylight.com, there's a bit to read. Also, I don't think the guy reading vigo's notes died, hes walking away at the end of the third cutscene, and like other's have said, he might be a killer. In one of Vigo's quotes, somewhere in the game, he says that not all killers enjoy being killers. So, maybe the entity finding this guy means that he's going to suffer whichever fate the entity chooses for him? To be a survivor, or a killer? Either way, it's not good :3

    The moral of the story - harvesting all those cankers to make serum was ultimately pointless.

    I believe he lost hope in escaping because Vigos notes said the cankers may lead to escaping the entitys realm. Once he discovered that he had failed his experiments he lost all his hope in escaping the entitys realm. Once he lost hope the entitys confronted him and made him a killer. Thats why he was able to see the entity without being on hook as he wrote it down in his notes.

    maybe he is the next killer.
