A survivor blessing a totem should make the same sound as one cleansing a totem. I'd prefer it to be very low mumbling, but that involves voice work which is likely out of the question.

Then you couldn't differ a blessing from a cleansing, i only think that it really isn't necessary to give something this mini such a loud thunder roll, some less volume would do.
Yes, you don't really need to differentiate a blessing from a cleansing. It's just an audio cue to let you know a survivor is somewhere nearby doing a thing. The thunder roll is mostly pointless considering that it's not a directional audio cue.
they need to just tone down the sound a little.
