The Rift Tiers
Hello, i have been playing dead by dayllight since April of this year and i mostly switch playing between console and on steam and when i use the auric cells to unlock the pass when i reach a specific tier it is always resetted though when i view another streamer they're tier is not resetted.
I do not want to keep spending so much money on auric cells to get these unlockables if my tier is always being resetted to tier 1,i spend too much time and effort into working on my tiers and for the game to reset and lose tier is not very good and it should be worked on.

Your tier isn't reset, it's a brand new rift.
Each rift only runs for a limited time. You need to work through the rift while it's available.
Do not purchase the premium pass if the rift is about to close and you haven't made progress.
You can buy premium on the final day and still earn everything. So you should play through the rift on standard, then when you have completed it, then you buy premium and instantly gain all of the rewards and a full refund of your auric cells.
Interesting because everytime they release a new rift my tier was last reached at tier 22 on my ps4 and then i went back down to tier 1. On steam the same thing. I spent too much money on auric cells and i only get less amount back than what i've spent in purchasing them. Very disappointing
Yes. You go down to 1, because it's a new rift.
You reached 22 on the old rift, which closed.
You started a new rift, at tier 1 like everyone else.
Do you see how that works?
Do not buy the premium pass when the rift is about to close, unless you've already completed it.
