Survivor scoring mechanic needs adjustment with the lastest patch

The survivor BP scoring for the Survival category needs to be adjusted. Having such a large portion of it for escaping through the hatch is ridiculous with the current changes.

Even in a 4man escape you wont be able to get this category maxed...

  • Yea, it needs to be changed.

  • Just for reference you get 5000 for escaping (it doesn't matter if it was hatch or the gates). So assuming you escape you need 3000 points to max Survival out of categories including:

    • Good skill check: 50
    • Great skill check: 150
    • Healing yourself: 300 for healing from injured to healthy
    • Stunning killer with pallet: 500
    • Recovering in the dying state: 316 for recovering from dying to injured
    • Struggling against second hook stage: Up to 900 points if you last the full 60 seconds
    • Wiggling while being carried: 25 points per second wiggled
    • Lots of misc killer/condition specific points (e.g. 100 for recovering from Deep Wounds, 250 for breaking Deathslinger's chain, 1500 for escaping as the Obsession, etc)

Basically if you can, for example, pallet stun the killer twice, healing yourself to full three times, do 15 skill checks and get a few other points from miscellaneous things like wiggling and resisting the hook you can definitely get 8000 points in Survival if you escape.

A pallet stun? In this economy?

50 for ending a chain hunt too... All of these are fairly miniscule though.

The only reliable ones would maybe be healing yourself and pallet stuns but youre not going to be able to get too many stuns unless the killer is a potato. And healing isnt really possible with the amount of tunnelers/campers lately. Ontop of the boons incentivizing killers to not drop chase to allow you to heal. Plus healing yourself is kinda selfish and robbing other of altruism points (who would then do the same to you).

Plus with MMR youre really only supposed to escape every other match so thats really only 2.5k a match for escapes...

I can play killer and 2 hook everyone and clean up with no stress and still get way more than someone who loops for 5gens and escapes. It should be balanced...

  • Here are some ways they should help earn survival scoring points:

    • Unlocking chests now awards 250 survival BP and not objective BP, as it is not an objective.
    • The Escaped scoring event now awards 200 survival BP and not boldness BP, as this was critical to your survival.
    • All scoring events related to Jigsaw Box searches now award survival BP, as you will die if you do not remove an active RBT before the trial is over.
  • you also lose a ton of survival when some potato solo teammate insta-unhooks you without bt before you can even use deliverance and gets you farmed

but then even more when instead of getting ds off you get mori'd instead right then and there because you were on death hook

just low mmr things, my friends drag me down to it and it is hell down here
