Do not give survivors infinite resources

Healing is one of the most important part of survivor gameplay. Medkits, because of that are the best item in the game. Self care was the best meta perk since release and long time after it's nerf. Circle of healing is just old self care with extra steps. We were there already. Don't bring it back

Basically, if you see that there is a boon Totem aura, when you down a Survivor, try to hook them near that Totem and then snuff it out/start a patrol in the direction of that totem zone to see if you can snuff it out without needing to look around for it too much.

so what stops survivors from blessing them again?

If you're uninjured, is it worth it to spend 14s to potentially be used later, and only if you're at that part of the map?

If you're injured, is it worth it to spend 14s + 16s = 30s to heal a single health state? (This is 2s faster than self-care)

If you're injured but have a med-kit, is it worth it to add an additional 6s to the healing process?

Is it worth it to travel to the Boon Totem Aura if it was placed by another Survivor?

The only real issue that needs to be considered is the healing speed bonus (+range&verticality), not that Survivors can keep reapplying it to a totem.

Since it works on all survivors answer is yes for all your questions. It is better than sc as you said and you give infinite medkits to everyone. Killer sometimes have no time to snuff a totem on other side of the map because they have gens to protect, which makes some areas just free healing stations for survivors. Forever. Idk if you're played this game in times of pre nerfed self care but it wasn't fun for killer. And it sure will not be fun again. Infinite healing should not be a thing with such little downsides

I mean, if the Totem isn't around your patrol then that must mean it's part of a dead-zone of the map. Do you chase Survivors into dead-zones? Or do you just leave them there to be healed by another Survivor while you check your 3-gen?

If you're concerned about Boon Totems in your patrol and Survivors healing in them, Slap on A Nurse's Calling, if you're concerned that Shadowstep will counter that in addition to masking Survivors Scratch marks, that's a thing to be considered with Shadowstep and if it should suppress both Aura's and Scratch marks given it's a team-wide buff.

Why will you ever chase a survivor in zone without generators? They're sitting on gen, hit them and go for another gen or you'll lose the game. With boons this is not possible because they'll just run into boon, heal without a teammate and return to do a gen again. You can't afford that as killer and you'll always lose to a boon in that situation

You have absolutely not played killer then.

Lets take an example of Suffocation Pit (an H shaped map) and say the killers and survivors played well, so 2 gens on one side, and one in the middle. Lets say someone boons a totem on the other side without gens. Now when you get a hit while patrolling the gens, that survivor holds W to that side of the map.

    You now have two choices:

-Chase that survivor and hope you down them in 15~ seconds (not happening unless you're nurse, blight, or spirit) and hook them, then continue patrolling

-Give up chase to continue patrolling

You loose both of these scenarios, if you chase them, you loose those gens, and if you leave them, they just heal in 16 seconds and can get right back to pressuring gens.

And if there's 3 or more Survivors, and they're actually smart, they have a "healer", so in effect it's the same.

And this healer will be on gens instead of healing so you're pressuring 1 survivor less. Also healer can just take boon now instead of healing build and some more chase/gen perks

Yeah, but that requires the survivors occupation, and something like Desperate and/or Botany. You only need the boon and its autonomous
