Create an in-game hacker report

While in a match, give us access to a report button which will flag the match and data for review. Hopefully this will prove more effective than finishing a match, a report ticket, and attaching relevant evidence.

An added bonus would be hack detection after flagging the match which would identify when data is not following a natural flow of events; killer is carrying someone and a hacker false hooks themselves to block hook access. When data is found out of bounds, cancel the match to prevent hostage scenarios.

  • I dont want to talk your idea bad because I really would love it BUT people are reporting everyone as soon as they are loosing!

    Look at all the people crying here on both sides, they for sure try to get everyone banned who made them loose. So if your system is not designed to handle over 90% of all matches at all times it will not be usefull and if it can handle it so it should be annabled at all times anyway.

    Don't think they will ever be able to eliminate false reports. As the system is now though, they get reports with no evidence and always after the match is concluded.

    If the system works at detection, hopefully catching cheaters in-game, devs Could always add penalties later for repeatedly false reporting players. Flagging every match at launch or ending should be discouraged to promote accuracy and deal with the actual issue not salt.

    I played with a friend CSGO and he genuinely accused people of cheating every time he got killed. He did it not on purpose and not because he is a bad person, he just cant see the difference between an aimbot and mechanical skill or between wallhack and mapknowledge.

    Many people do false reports because they just dont understand the difference. Unfortunatly there is no system in existance that could ban cheater and spare skilled players and DBD is for sure not the game that will invent such system.

    They already announced an automated report feature, which concerned most because of false flagging for play styles.

    I want a hack report completely separate from other reasons.

    Not expecting them to determine between skill or an aim bot. Would be nice if they could detect that movement speed, healing rates, stun durations, or gen speeds have been tampered with.

    It would be alot of work no doubt but have a huge payoff in experience improvements.

    The way I'm thinking of it would be;

    You could flag the match for report

    Detection would run background crosscheck for data abnormalities

    Data events found outside normal parameters would auto clip gameplay for thorough review

    If reports are filed with no evidence recorded in gameplay or data, it's dismissed. The player would be notified of immediate dismissals to assure the game was fair.

    I'm not expecting it anytime soon, but that wouldn't exactly hurt either.
