Why am I getting a DC punishment because you booted me?
BHVR its been over what a year or two since you started forably closing lobbies when steam does maintaince? Why the hell are we still getting DC punishments? Its not our fault you attached your lobby to steam.

I was grinding all day and was in the last match possible to earning enough shards for the shrine. I was gonna make it too. And then I got booted for maintenance. 🤡
Ummm... this didn't used to be an issue... If you were in a lobby and steam did maintaince you would be able to complete the match but after the match you would be kicked. This was a change them made within the last two years.... So yeah its there fault
DBD can't tell the difference between steam servers d/cing you and you quitting the game.
This happens every week around the same time on a Tuesday. At this point, you should know there's a risk playing around this time before Steam weekly maintenance.
Once again... not something that used to happen is something that started within the last two years... assuming dedicated servers... Its ######### annoying... Also its easy... They could just not give you the DC punishment... Its something they should have accounted for when programming this stupid system
I remember being booted ever since Ive started playing the game back in 2017, so no its not just a thing from 2 years ago
The Steam server reset happens every Tuesday around 7 pm Eastern. It will kick you off even if you are in a match. It has been this way for a while now. If you play a match during that time then you are risking getting the 5 minute ban. (Possibly longer if you have connection issues or rage quit).
Same thing if you exit Steam while Dead By Daylight is running it will shut down Dead Bay Daylight also once again even if you are in a match.
The server reset is on Steams end so no it isn't BHVR fault.
It's been like this for a while now. We've had many topics of people complaining about steam maintenance giving them d/c penalties.
And BHVR shouldn't account for other system's downtime in their d/c penalty. Steam happens to be consistently every Tuesday within the same time window, but that doesn't mean Steam couldn't change when they did updates and would force the devs to have to update their system if Steam does decide to change their weekly update.
