Reduce the Bloodweb Grind

This is one change I think the community unanimously agrees would be perfect for the game. But why, in your minds developers, do you think it's okay to force us to grind hundreds, maybe even thousands of games, just to get the perks, items and add-ons that we wish to get?

We only get a maximum of 32,000 Bloodpoints per match (if that) as Survivor and Killer without any of the Perks or Offerings that affect this. Considering just how massive each Bloodweb is and the amount of things we players have to do to even grind for it, do you think it's really that unreasonable to ask to reduce the grind in a game that doesn't need it?

We don't feel a sense of "pride and accomplishment" when we actually unlock these; if anything, this makes us want to tear our brains out from how idiotic and outdated the system is. You insist on keeping a system that severely punishes newer players, greatly punishes veteran players who haven't gotten everything, and especially, especially tremendously punish the players trying to grind for Tier III Prestige.

Reduce the grind. Give us something, anything that can actually help. The community wants some part of the grind to be buffed, and I doubt anyone in the community would ask for some nerf to compensate the buff at all.

Just give us one of these things, and I think you'll see that your community will greatly appreciate it:

  • Option #1: Increase the end-of-game Bloodweb cap from 32,000 to 64,000.
    • This means if We're Gonna Live Forever or Barbecue & Chili are used, the player gets up to 64,000 extra Bloodpoints at the end of the match.
  • Option #2: Reduce the price of the Bloodweb nodes based on the following.
    • Teachable Perk: 0 Bloodpoints
    • Common Rarity: 1,000 Bloodpoints
    • Uncommon Rarity: 2,000 Bloodpoints
    • Rare Rarity: 3,000 Bloodpoints
    • Very Rare Rarity: 4,000 Bloodpoints
    • Ultra Rare Rarity: 5,000 Bloodpoints
    • In addition, all perks are now one tier and are their Tier III counterparts.
  • Option #3: Let us choose what we want to get/rework the entire Bloodweb system.
    • This way we can skip all of the extremely useless add-ons we don't need and can get our perks and add-ons we want right away instead of having to spend an unnecessary amount of Bloodpoints to get what we desire.
  • Option #4: Let us sell our add-ons for half the value of their original rarity, and let Prestige automatically sell every item, add-on, perk and offering for the same half value per.
    • This would fix quite a lot, as you would imagine.

For all of the options here, I believe that Options 1 and 2 are the most optimal. People hate grinding for these things, especially when these items come to no use later on in a player's life; I mean, look at veteran players; how many of them actually use the Common items nowadays if they provide little to no value anymore?

Option 1 presents the best way to grind; a permanent "Bloodhunt" effect, but now a mainstay for the game. It doesn't mean that we need to increase or change the cost of the nodes at all, either, but it'd give everyone a reasonable way to actually earn everything in this game and not get frustrated to the point of making a thread to developers that don't listen to their community.

Option 2 presents the second best way to grind; a complete drop in rarity value to give everyone the ability to get more items from the Bloodweb as they so desire. This makes it so that everyone can have a better time, once again, getting everything they can in this game. No one wants to waste so much Bloodpoints to get so little, so why keep the cost the same as it's been when so much has been added since the game launched?

Now for the part that I think that the developers need to hear, especially those at the top.

It boggles my mind why you developers insist on keeping the current Bloodweb system and the abhorrent grind of this game when the community has constantly called for the grind to be reduced. We don't want your pity points or your Bloodhunts, we want a permanent fix to the Bloodpoint/Bloodweb/Grind system, not some band-aid fix that you think will satisfy the fans you came to think of as gullible.

There's no justification for this horrid treatment of old and new players with this piss-poorly-made grind.

The only players not completely affected by it are your content creator partners you give free Bloodpoints to in order to reduce their grind, or the people that already have most of everything so that they can get everything for the next Chapter's survivors and killers much quicker.

So how about you treat your community with the same respect as some of the content creators you seem to favor? Or do you think the community doesn't deserve to have a fun and enriching experience with your game?

There have been people who have paid over a hundred dollars on this game, there are people who have paid for a specific chapter, only to be further discouraged from playing because of some archaic system of grinding that should not even be in this game in this current year.

Maybe your community wouldn't cry out if you just gave us something we all wanted. And maybe some parts of your community would respect you more if you treated all of them better.

Maybe I wouldn't be here making this thread if I wasn't pissed off at the lack of good treatment of the community. You think I wanted to waste my time making this thread? No, it shouldn't even exist.

But you made it exist BHVR.

Either you step up, or this game will die because you decide to not fix the issues we, the community, want fixed.

This is not 2016, this is 2021, and there are 20 current chapters and 3 Paragraphs in this game. There are 24 Killers and 27 Survivors, not 4 Survivors and 3 Killers.

Give your community a break and reduce the grind. Maybe then, it'll be the start of a better game and a more appreciative community.
