Quality of Life changes to Daily Rituals

  • Ritual's roles alternate each day (survivor ritual, killer ritual, survivor, killer, etc.)
  • Once per day:
    • Rituals can be Recycled ๐Ÿ” (for a new ritual of the same role)
    • Or can be Converted ๐Ÿ”€ (to the opposite role, and do not affect the daily alternation)

This make killer mains, survivor mains, and killvivors happy.

A killer main would receive a killer ritual on Day 1; a survivor ritual converted to a killer ritual on Day 2; and a killer ritual on Day 3. The same would apply to the survivor mains. Meanwhile, players who play both roles are unaffected, receiving a mix over time.

----

Note: To prevent an imbalance in which roles players choose to play each day, instead of giving all players a survivor ritual one day and all players a killer ritual the next day, you randomly assign players a 0 or 1, so that roughly half of the players will receive a ritual for one role any given day while the other half receive the opposite role.

While this may not be necessary, as players can convert the rituals to the role they prefer, the players who do not prefer roles will flood the killer queue if that day is a killer ritual day, and vice versa.

----

"What about the RNG aspect of it?"

While RNG would no longer apply to which role you get for the ritual, it still applies for which ritual you get.

If you get a ritual for a killer you do not play, you can Recycle it for a new killer ritual (once per day). The next day, you get a survivor ritual and now have 2 survivor rituals, but 1 can be Converted into a killer ritual. The third day, you get a killer ritual and Convert a survivor ritual, giving you 3 killer rituals (the current ritual limit).

At that point, you have to choose from:

  • Attempting a ritual you don't like;
  • Letting it get discarded and replaced the next day because you are at your maximum ritual limit;
  • Completing one of the other 2 available rituals to "buy time" for it to be Recycled the next day without it being discarded and replaced.
