Change my mind: the ptb cant be used for balance changes

Title. Reasons:

first, its pc only meaning a small portion of the playerbase.

Second, people dont often play as normal in the ptb

Third and most important, theres no ranking or mmr (assume this is due to small number of players) but this means so often you're against weaker players. Many times survivor just run out in the open without even trying to loop which makes a killer look strong. Or you get an awful killer who doesnt know how to play versing great loopers.

While the ptb tests bugs, it doesnt test the balance of new chapters and maps

    I can't. The PTB is just marketing. They don't make any real changes based on feedback. They usually want to show something off to generate excitement.

    Pretty much this - the PTB is just Marketing, a showcase of the new content. To build Hype. The Devs said in a Livestream that they have like 3 or 4 days after a PTB-Launch to make changes, afterwards, the Patch is basically ready and needs to be submitted to all Platforms.
