Any chances the dev will extend the event?

Since the issues are heavily impacting the game performance i have been avoiding playing the game regularly and waiting for the game to be in a playable state. This post is not to insult the dev team but instead a request for them to increase the duration of the event for players who have been heavily affected by the issues that are currently in the game.
