Ricochet Knives should be in Tricksters basic kit and here is why.
With the recently put out changes by BHVR I and probably many of you also noticed a critical flaw with their approach to adjusting the killer.
Playstyle and Variety
The most efficient way to play this Killer is less based on the skill and accuarcy components his ability would suggest but rather positioning. Namely getting close to survivors to pepper them with blades instead of basic attacking so that they will have less time to run get away whilst you're getting even more hits in, in hopes of downing them before they can reach a corner or highwall.
This is arguably the way to play the killer and the most optimal scenario and it just sadly boils down to chasing a survivor channeling a deathray until they get downed at any skill level, and the changes provided by BHVR perpetuate this, rather than reinforcing alternatives and bringing out a players creativity.
How does Trickblade factor into this ? It makes him more engaging and atleast thematicly puts him more out of the shadow of his counterparts that he is being compared to namely Plague and Huntress.
The former focusing on the similiar persistant style that generates over time map pressure and promotes player thought with when to cleanse their pools and the latter promotes skill and map awareness allowing for precise cross map takedowns that no other killer (well maybe Nemesis now) can perform.
Trick Blade is the only addon in the entire game that adds a mechanic, no seriously it adds an actual game mechanic into your kit, addons are supposed to remix your abilities or enhance them but this one straight up gives you a feature and a damn fun and creative one too but people generally wouldn't spec for it because of its rarity and the fact that people would rather have enhancments to his bladecount and movement speed.
Not only that, the mechanic itself is so interesting and can apply pressure during loops and even rewards skill for learning where and when you should ricochet to get hits in. The survivors on the receiving end of this also now have to think and act according to an extra layer and can be plunged into difficult positions, heck you can even fire around some corners with the addon to apply a bit more pressure even whilst they are out of your line of sight.
This addon adds an entirely unique playstyle to this killer and it shouldn't, actual content like this should not be gated behind a consumable token but rather be embraced as a component that makes the Killer you're playing as.
When I look at the suggested changes I feel like the developers are looking in the wrong direction, they are focusing on how to tweak the numbers to make the Trickster better at the things he is already good in situations that are already beneficial to him rather than looking at what this Killer could be.
I'm not here to tell you what I think the numbers should be like to make him better at giving him wins, if he should have a laceration meter or not like Scott Jund suggested, but rather say that solutions on what you can do to make him seem less like an afterthought of a Killer simply to show off K-Pop culture, and turn him into a Killer that provides both parties creative gameplay opportunities.
All I'm really saying is, I really love what this Killer could be and I want the community to be able to enjoy him too and find him interesting in his own unique way.
(Also just make the addon give him additional bounces then wooo)

Everyone was saying to give him ricochet base kit since PTB. For a while it looked like they listen, because they changed that addon to ricochet twice, so that looked like one ricochet base kit. Well, we were wrong about that...
i've used ricochet, didn't like it, just felt wrong. decided to give it another try, felt the same. i definitely don't want it base kit.
Interesting, for me it was kinda main thing to play him.
