Game feels slightly unbalanced when it comes to playing killer

So I've been playing killer for a month now trying to main it but starting to realize how many loops are in a map and how some of them are so close to each other that by the time they throw the pallet down and stun me they already at the next loop and when you finally manage to hook a survivor that's 2 generators gone depending on how fast the team is. This takes the fun out of playing killer as it's mostly running around loops endlessly and having to deal with the generators at the same time (which can be stressful due to the fact everything you do adds on time for them to do a generator). There's no way to Punish someone that loops around constantly as there's endless Stamina and while yeah the killer is a bit faster it can still be quite hard to even catch up as the vaulting animation quite fast or the fact the pallets are so close to each other.

Heres my suggestions

  • Increase the time for players to activate a generator (this would be a massive help for killers as doing generators with 3 people doesn't take that long to do at all and especially when they have that one player that abusers the loops and when you finally hooked them already 2-3 generators are done)
  • (This suggestion probably bad) Remove some of the pallets or spread them out more as they are so close to each other that it really doesn't take long to find another one in the amount of time you stun the killer.
  • Noticed how some maps are either survivor sided or killer sided I don't really believe it should be that way (in my opinion) this is because it takes the fun from each side depending on the map chosen Example is when it comes to survivor sided there are so many pallets and windows so close together or when it comes to killer sided the map is mostly small and the generators are so close together.

Anyways that's my suggestion, of course, this is my opinion so please don't do murdering me over it

  • Don't listen to this other guy, you make some solid points. It is true that some maps have loops that connect too easily (rotten fields) or are just too strong in general (fractured cowshed, haddonfield and Gideon pallet plant) where I agree they should do something about that but on most other maps this is not the case.

Regarding your suggested increase in gen times I am not a huge fan. If anything they could increase it to 90 seconds. Anything longer would be mind numbingly boring for survivors so there should be another solution. A long time ago the devs mentioned an early game warm up phase that would balance out the beginning of the game which is the most crucial time for killers, but we haven't heard anything about that since. I really hope it will come one day, but alas...

Players always crying about balance and never, NEVER thinking : "maybe i'm a terrible killer and it's not unbalance, it's just me that is bad".

Reading your post, it's clear that you are totally unexperienced. Every loops are breakable in less than 15/20 seconds but hey there is a way to loop to break them as a killer ;).

So now think again about it =).

I mean the better you get at killer the better you can recognize how unbalanced maps can be based on just rng, and this goes both ways. For every cowshed with a killer shack leading to a long wall there's a shelter wood with 2 jungle gyms 6 pallets and an LT wall. So yeah sometimes OP is right and sometimes you are right. End of the day you were being a bit of a dick about it so I'd immediately side more with the OP so try not doing that if you ever want people to actually try and see your pov. Unless your goal is just to be some keyboard warrior who no one likes in which case go outside

  • Well, I've spotted your first problem. "by the time they throw the pallet down and stun me they already at the next loop". If you get stunned and didn't land a hit through the pallet... that generally means you messed up.

Now, as for the rest, which killer have you been playing with what perks? Most of them have methods to reduce how much looping Survivors can do and many more can bring certain perks to make looping less of a problem.

If you want to include comp play, or even just 1% top, then it is clear that this game is unbalanced.

Maybe it is good idea to start think too before you criticize someone, because it is clear you don't know much neither.

I agree with you, that this game in not balanced at all, but making gens last longer is not healthy for game. It is just not fun.

and yes, in perfect world maps should be balanced for both, but that is really really hard to do. Best they can do is make it enjoyable for both parties. Which is not true for few maps anyway and should be fixed.

    ignore that first guy :)
