This Anniversary should just End or be Fixed
When I got into Dead by Daylight, I didn't realize how my opinion of the game would just sour by hours upon hours of playing it. The anniversary could've easily swayed my opinion, but no, you guys somehow made my opinion on the game worse!
This anniversary has been a complete disaster and an affront to every player of the game. Let's list off the sins of this year's anniversary:
- For a celebration of 5 years of your own game, you're not doing anything particularly special about it. You just copy/pasted last year's event with no changes. Nothing.
- Your 20th chapter, another milestone for this game, came out as a horrible, buggy mess that introduced a bland Killer on top of it. The map itself had to be disabled for making the game unplayable for everyone, and even now, some console players have found this game to be absolutely unplayable still!
- You didn't listen to the community on how to change this event for the better, in fact, you rarely if ever listen to your community at all on issues. This has gotten to the point where the community is boycotting you.
- People who play licensed characters be damned, I suppose, because they aren't able to wear the crowns for this year's anniversary whatsoever for some idiotic reason. So much for celebrating 5 years when if you only play a licensed character, you're locked out of one of the few ways to celebrate!!
- The 5th Anniversary event itself came with a bug that made many players lose progress (me included) because the game had to soft reset after getting those 500,000 BP.
At this point, this 5th anniversary event should just end unless changes are made here and now. This is supposed to be something special, something to actually celebrate the fans' dedication to the game, but it doesn't even feel like that.
You want to hear my suggestions? Good. Either the event should end because it's just not what it should be for anyone, or you can at least do these following suggestions, which follow the "5" rule:
- Every Survivor and Killer in the game now has access to the Crowns, not just the "original characters".
- The cost of every item in the Bloodweb is reduced by 50%, for both Survivors and Killers.
- The Sacrificial Cake Offering is now more likely to appear in the Bloodweb than before.
- Every single player in the game is now rewarded 5,000,000 Bloodpoints as a celebration of the game's 5th Anniversary, and the Bloodweb cap is raised to 5,000,000.
- Survivors and Killers now have a new side objective that lasts until the event ends, which is to find a "Blood Node" on the map. Doing so rewards each player an extra 50,000 Bloodpoints at the end of each match.
- Players are now just rewarded a flat 50,000 Iridescent Shards one time and one time only.
- And finally, to end it off, after the anniversary ends, every prior Chapter-exclusive menu is now available to be selected. This means something like the Silent Hill Chapter-exclusive menu is now available to be seen by all players once again.
You want to celebrate the anniversary right? This would do it. This would show that you truly feel genuine about celebrating the 5th year anniversary with everyone. No locking things out for players. No simple copy/pastes of last year's anniversary event. And no showing a lack of care to the community.
The community deserves better than this and you know it.
