A Better Trickster

Killer: The Trickster

The Trickster is a ranged Killer, able to quickly unleash both a burst of blades and volley of blades by using his power, Showstopper.

  • Movement Speed: 115% (4.6m/s)
  • Terror Radius: 24 meters
  • Lullaby Radius: 8-40 meters

Power: Showstopper

Showstopper is a two-part Power: Showstopper Burst and Showstopper Crescent.

The Trickster starts the Trial with 60 Blades.

Showstopper Burst

Tap the Power Button to activate Showstopper Burst.

Upon activating, The Trickster will swiftly throw 3 Blades in front of him in quick, burst-like succession within a 5 degree cone of each other.

Showstopper Crescent

Hold the Power Button to charge Showstopper Crescent.

Upon initiating the charge, The Trickster will begin to charge blades within his hand, starting with 1 Blade and maxing out at 9 Blades. Upon letting go of the Power Button, The Trickster will unleash every charged Blade upon his victims in a wide spread in front of himself.

Laceration Meter

A Survivor's Laceration Meter fills up each time they are hit by a Blade.

Once a Meter is filled (9 hits), they lose a Health State, putting them into either the Injured or Dying State.

A Survivor's Laceration Meter will gradually decrease if they have not been hit by a Blade for a short period of time. It will also fully decrease if a Survivor is hit by a Basic Attack.

Special Attack: Main Event

Each Blade hit dealt to Survivors fills the Event Meter.

Once full, Main Event can be activated by pressing the Activate Ability button.

In this mode, The Trickster changes up his style and unleashes a flurry of rapidly tossed Blades towards his victim for the duration of Main Event. Main Event can be cancelled at any time by pressing the Activate Ability button again, though doing so will deplete all charges of it.

Final Moments Arrangement

"The terrified cries of Ji-Woon's NO SPIN bandmates' final moments as they cried his name to save them from their impending doom, now given vinyl form by The Entity. The memories of this reinvigorate Ji-Woon's sadistic nature."

  • Grants Blades the ability to deal lingering Laceration damage to Survivors starting at 0.3 Laceration damage per second for 5 seconds.
  • The maximum amount of lingering Laceration damage is 0.5 Laceration damage per second.
  • Replaces Showstopper Burst and Showstopper Crescent with Showstopper Dazzler.
    • Showstopper Dazzler is, in effect, the old version of Showstopper given form as an add-on ability.
    • Hold the Power button to charge Showstopper Dazzler, and press M1 to start throwing Blades.

This is what would make The Trickster a better Killer to play. He's a character whose design, backstory and power are supposed to scream flashy, but still efficient. So, I just simply thought that giving him these new toys to play with would be much better than the Trickster we have now.

The idea here is to give The Trickster the ability to actually do things against Survivors while making him much more fun to play as and against. And if people liked the old Trickster, well, Final Moments Arrangement is the add-on for you, as it gives him his old abilities back, with one new perk of his Power.

  • Its a good idea to point out the flaws of the Original Power and why your solutions will remedy those in detail, when suggesting changes to a Power.

I don't think there's ANY reason to point out the flaws when just observing gameplay of or playing him will do the trick.

Besides, I'm more of a "to the point" person.

This defeats the purpose of suggesting though, a developer may have their own ideas about what to do with Trickster. if they cant see why you suggest each and every point, How can they know what's wrong in your opinion? And How can they make a reasonable assessment if the suggestion you make will make things better? That's the purpose of the forum. If you dont, All it is a huge post that would take time to question/decode before it would be constructive.

The explaining in detail IS the "to the point". That's what the point is.

  • being honest, i think Ji-Woon just needs some more movement speed tweaks. more default movement speed and a boost when putting away his blades.

i like the burst idea though. rather have his default throw and the burst rather than the crescent
