Why are there no 2-piece sets?

I'm very curious and would love to know if a developer or a mod could give an answer, but why are there no 2-piece sets? Every set so far has been 3-pieces regardless of rarity or licensing.

Some make sense to me, such as legendary outfits, such as the Minotaur, or licensed sets, like Robby the rabbit, but why original sets?

Many killer sets, like the twins' or ghostface's, could have a swappable weapon without affecting the connected pieces. Many survivor sets could have swappable heads or pants.

The original announcement even mentioned "2 or more" pieces.


Why hasn't there been a set of only 2 pieces? Is this a feature that's been dropped? Is it a feature coming in the future?

    Why make a 2 piece set when you can make Jill's head exactly the same and charge an extra $4 for it?

    Sincerely this question. There are a lot of linked sets where there'd be mesh issues with the body, but the survivor's hair or the killer's weapon could be safely removed. BHVR never takes this option and it's ungodly frustrating. There is a reason people kept doing the glitch.

    The way they've chosen to use linked sets is far more restrictive than it needs to be, even accounting for license agreements which are pretty much untouchable.

    Nobody likes the sets and the players would always prefer unlinked cosmetics wherever possible. You'd think BHVR would have gotten this feedback.

    But seriously, it feels like the only reason there aren't 2 piece sets is just... money. Ghostface had his original scream cosmetic back in the day that was 3 piece. It wasn't linked, and seeing as the mask was EXACTLY the same in a slightly slightly whiter shade, and the knife was pretty much the same too, most people just bought the robe/body cosmetic.

    That could've easily been a 1 or 2 piece set, but BHVR made it 3 piece because a lot of people probably just bought the outfit without thinking. Linked sets make it worse because the useless cosmetics are bundled with the rest of the set
