How to use Flashbang
I've discovered the trick, and I'm putting it here because I've seen a lot of people complaining that it doesn't work.
Step One: Work on a Generator and stop when you can craft your first flashbang. Try not to finish the generator, not important, but it helps.
Step Two: Craft it.
Step Three: Back to the gennie, work on gennies and try to have the perk ready even if you already have Flashbang.
Step Four: Use the Flashbang AROUND CORNERS during a chase. It gives the killer less time to react to you dropping it, and helps make sure they're looking in the right direction when it goes off.

Also maybe don’t drop it when another survivor is unhooking somebody, so you blind everyone as well as the killer.
I haven't tried it, so thrower beware.
