Making "Readying Up" Have Some Effect
Inspiration taken from Team Fortress 2. (Actually it's a complete copy-paste, but ehh.)
With a full lobby, when someone readies up, it shaves off a certain amount of seconds from the maximum 60 seconds.
The amount that 1 player can shave off of the total amount lowers with each passing second if the lobby is full.
So when 1 player readies up at the 60 second mark, they shave off 12 seconds, going down to 48 immediately.
If 2 players do that, 24 seconds are removed, going down to 36 immediately.
If 1 player is ready at 45 seconds, 9/6 seconds are removed, going down to 36/39 seconds.
Numbers can be changed of course.
This is a thing in TF2's MvM mode to just hurry the round along.
There's a total amount of time there just like there is here, except players can shorten the wait time greatly by just being ready.
From this game's PoV, i'm jealous of that tiny QoL function.
Oh, and of course nothing happens if the lobby isn't completely full.
