A particular problem with MMR
I have usually made relatively good experiences with the MMR tests. In the rank-based matchmaking system, the skill disparity between players in a given round can be and regularly is huge, players are being thrown into games more or less randomly, the system does not treat a 100 hour player any differently from a 4000 hour player. This has for years resulted in getting abysmally mismatched teammates as survivor as well as abysmally mismatched opponents particularly as killer. With MMR on the other hand, I very noticably and consistently was matched with and against more competent players, that tended to have multiples of thousands of hours played as well. Which is great.
However, with the current MMR, it seems that you try to "balance" matches by pairing lower-rated survivors with higher-rated ones, to go against middle and higher-rated killers. That cannot work. If even only 1 survivor is a clear weak link, that can and will often ruin the balance of the entire round, particularly because competent killers know very well how to exploit weak links.
If your MMR logic actually "combines" ratings as if 2 higher-rated and 2 lower-rated survivors would make for a good lobby, please reconsider on this. It does not fit the gameplay reality of DbD.
