Does BHVR need a permission to separate cosmetics?

Cheryl cosmetic sets feels outdated compared to Nancy and Steve and Ash.

Could it be that she will not have separate sets in the future because of some consent?

    Could be,sure.

    But we won't get to know if that's the case or not.

    There is a copyright law about the likeness used by the third party must only be used in a preapproved manner and with consent. To whoever has the og rights. i believe they have a limited way of using the properties and cant venture too far off the path so that the license holder doesnt say no. I am not a lawyer but i worked in television animation and we could almost never stray too far from what we were told was approved and all designs have to be preapproved sometimes too. its a tricky thing but adendums can be added later that could allow it.

    In order to put characters from other games in DBD, BHVR has to hammer out a licensing agreement with whatever company owns the rights to the character. We don't know what the licensing agreement for Silent Hill is, but, since linked sets were invented at the same time as the Silent Hill chapter came out, it seems likely that it was a way to meet licensing requirements. That doesn't mean that we'll never see individual cosmetics for Cheryl, but it does make me think the Silent Hill people are less laid back about it than, say, the Ghost Face people.

    I'd also like they fix the bug with her two outfits. I don't know how to explain in English, but the ones with the orange and pink t-shirt are weird on the back. It's been months.

    Yeah. Licensing agreements are a tricky situation to be in, that's why I have a theory that every single new Pyramid Head and Cheryl cosmetic that comes out will only be locked since Konami absolutely does not what to soil their character's integrity
