Suggestions for (Killer) Animation Changes
These are animations that I think would spice up the game's quality as a whole and wouldn't fundamentally change the game. Instead, these would just make the Killers more unique, change some animations to make them have more scare and flair and also have some animations reference a few things, in the event they ought to.
Also includes Memento Moris because that's quite fun. (Disclaimer: Mori animation changes will be described in gruesome detail. They can and will more than likely be extremely disturbing. This is your only warning.)
The Trapper
- Memento Mori animation changed to now pin down the Survivor, trapping them underneath his body as Trapper violently beats down upon them with The Cleaver.
- (This one's really violent.) Trapper now has a new Memento Mori animation if he kills a Survivor if they are within 8 meters of any armed trap. This animation has the Survivor get up and attempt to escape Trapper, only to have a leg caught in a bear trap, causing them to subsequently fall down. As they attempt to crawl away from the approaching Trapper, their arm gets caught in a bear trap. Even after that, the survivor still struggles, only for Trapper to finish the Survivor off by kicking their chest down and causing their head to be caught in one final bear trap to kill them.
The Wraith
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have The Wraith plunge Azarov's Skull into the wall before violently pulling the weapon back to break it.
- Memento Mori animation is now changed to have Wraith now step on the survivor's calf, plunge Azarov's Skull's bladed part into their mouth and lift them up before violently yanking it back to kill the Survivor.
- Memento Mori animation when cloaked is now changed to have the Survivor try to look around for The Wraith, before the latter slowly uncloaks, slams Azarov's Skull onto their head and pulls back to pierce their eyes and skull, killing them.
The Shape
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have him come close to the wall, point his knife up and stab it to break it.
- This only affects Evil Within III.
- Memento Mori animation changed on Dying Survivors to have the Survivor try to get up, only to be stabbed from behind by his knife and lifted up, desperately struggling as Michael tilts his head left and right. Once they die, he unceremoniously drops them to the ground.
- His current Memento Mori animation is now relegated to his special grab when using either Tombstone variant add-on.
The Doctor
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have him charge up a static discharge in his hand before bursting it to cause the wall to shatter.
- Same goes for pallets.
The Cannibal
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have him rev his chainsaw up before swinging it down into the wall to break it. It looks slower than his Power's version of it.
The Nightmare
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have him phase through them while laughing before causing them to shatter. This references his ability to just manipulate the environment.
- Animation when breaking pallets is changed to have him slowly scrape the pallet with his claws before swinging them down upon it. This basically references his old wall-breaking animation.
- Memento Mori animation changed to have Freddy now appear far from the distance as the Survivor attempts to look around, backing away as Freddy's claws scrape against a nearby (unseen) wall. Then, Freddy's laughter comes to play as he plunges his claws into the Survivor.
- From the Survivor's perspective, if allowed, their perspective shifts to first person as the Survivor tries to look around, only to look down as they are stabbed through their back and chest by Freddy.
- Freddy now has a new Memento Mori animation if he kills a Survivor within 8 meters of a Generator, where the Survivor will get up, only to be dragged into the ground by Freddy himself. After a couple of moments, a tornado of blood appears from the Generator before Freddy re-appears with a bit of laughter.
- Yes, because even THAT needs to be referenced.
The Spirit
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have Spirit cut through the wall so fast that she appears on the opposite side before it breaks.
- This animation is a reference to the fact she's a literal spirit and also because anime/manga references can be scary.
- Memento Mori animation now changed to have the Survivor's body move in correlation to each swing performed by Spirit's swipes.
The Legion
- Animation when breaking walls is changed based on which version of Legion it is:
- Frank puts a hand on the door and punches it with his other hand twice to break it.
- Julie turns and slams her elbow upon the door twice with a significant amount of ferocity.
- Susie slowly brings her foot back and abruptly kicks the door open.
- Joey, being a show-off, decides to move back a bit before tackling his body straight through the wall.
- Animation when breaking pallets is changed based on which version of Legion it is:
- Frank brings only one foot up and slams it down with a powerful stomp.
- Julie punts the pallet up and breaks it in one fell swoop.
- Susie jumps on top of the pallet and breaks it on her second hop.
- Joey, again being a show-off, raises one foot up high above his body before performing an axe kick.
The Ghost Face
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have Ghost Face quickly turn, take a snapshot of himself holding a peace sign against the wall, before then smashing it with a donkey kick and turning around.
- Animation when breaking pallets is changed to have Ghost Face just casually lift the pallet up and start walking on his merry way...as the pallet then breaks because of The Entity.
- Animation when hooking a Survivor for the final time is changed to have him quickly take a selfie with the Survivor just before The Entity takes them out of the Trial.
- Ghost Face now has an end-of-match photo gallery of all breakable walls broken, all Survivors Sacrificed and all Survivors he kills with his Mori.
- Ghost Face now has a new Memento Mori animation if he kills a Survivor from their front, where he sets down his camera on a timer to capture one photo of him and the alive Survivor's panicked face, then another photo of the Survivor's horrified face as he stabs them in the back of the neck and up their head with his knife.
The Oni
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have Oni just grab one side of the wall and tear it apart.
- Animation when breaking pallets is changed to have Oni perform one stomp on the pallet.
- Survivor SFX when Oni pulls the tongue of the Survivor from their body during his Mori is now more gargled.
The Executioner
- Animation when breaking walls is changed to have Pyramid Head swing the Great Knife upwards in a similar animation to knocking James off the Brookhaven Hospital Roof.
- An alternate animation that happens with every third wall will have Pyramid Head plunge the great knife into the wall and slash upwards, a reference to the first movie and Homecoming.
- Animation when breaking pallets is changed to have Pyramid Head perform an animation similar to Final Judgement on it.
The Twins
- Memento Mori (without Victor) slightly altered to have Charlotte put her hook through the Survivor's head in the last portion of the Mori.
The Trickster
- Animation when breaking pallets is changed to have Trickster grab and toss a pallet into the air before swinging his Polished Head-Smasher to shatter it.
- Animation when hooking a Survivor for the final time is changed to have Trickster also put his own autograph onto the hook just after hooking the Survivor.
What do you guys think? I think that I've devised animation ideas that really make each Killer feel more unique and have just a little more flair and violence to them. And I'm really happy with having described the Mori ideas since I think they're more creative and overall the most fun things to make.
Let me know below what you think about these ideas. Hopefully the team looks at these and implements a few of them. I personally think Ghost Face and Pyramid Head's should definitely be brought in.

There was a time long ago when Spirit doesn't have a vaulting animation. It was changed because you had no idea of whether or not she was going to teleport
I'd love if the Trapper had a funny mori that resembles something that Otzdarva does, where he just places a bear trap right under them and makes them step on it or something lol
These are very good ideas. I really like the trapper Mori one. Emblematic of the character.
