The Ever-Increasing(ly painful) Grind
With Dead by Daylight regularly adding new characters, the amount of bloodpoints needed to obtain all of the perks in the game will also regularly increase. Even now, however, it takes far too long to acquire them. I did some math, which I'll copy and paste from notepad, so it might be kind of scuffed. (I'm only doing it for killers because I, myself, am a killer main.)
1 mil per killer for level 40
Multiply by 24 killers = 24 mil to unlock all teachables
50k bloodpoints for each level 50 bloodweb
2 obtainable perks per level 50 bloodweb
66 killer perks, with 3 tiers each, so 198 unlocks
2 perks, 198 times, 50k each time, equals 5 mil
5 mil for every perk on a SINGLE killer
5 mil 24 times equals 120 mil for all perks on all killers
Add the 24 mil to get all killers to level 40
Actually equals 144 mil for all perks on all killers (without levels 40-49)
Assume match is 12 minutes with 30k bloodpoints
144mil / 30k = 4800 matches at 12 minutes
57600 minutes, 960 hours, 40 days of playtime
40 days of my life taken just to use the builds I want
Tell me if I did something wrong, but even if I did, I doubt the time needed will be much less. As more characters are added to the game, the time only increases further and further. Unlocking all of the perks on all of the killers is already out of reach of so many players, considering it takes 40 DAYS of playtime to achieve. It would take significantly more time on the survivors end, considering there's more of them, and that, from my experience at least, survivors tend to earn less bloodpoints than killers.
The way in which players earn perks and teachables needs to be thoroughly looked at and reassessed before the situation gets even worse. If it were up to me, the whole concept of "teachable perks" would be entirely removed, as it's unfair keeping such strong, meta perks behind a paid DLC. It is also a waste of bloodpoints having to level up a character I'll never play just to use their perks.
PS- This isn't including prestige :)

I'm realizing now that I didn't account for perks gained before level 50. This would be a minimum of 49 perks, but more likely somewhere around 60. This would reduce the total of 198 unlocks down to 138, so a decently significant change. However, the time needed to unlock all of the perks would still be extremely unreasonable.
