In a way, killer is as strong as we could have hoped
Think about it. In a 1 versus (however many) horror game, the killer should feel in control, unless the players on the other team on average are good at the game. Obviously if you're going solo survivor, and so are all your teammates, you probably won't be coordinated enough and the killer will beat you in the end. But a team of people on mics, though it's probably a little bit overkill, will probably be enough to beat the killer.
In essence, SWF is what we killers have asked for: we should only get beat by a strong team, and that's what SWF usually is. This equation can be seen in other games of this genre as well. There's still a lot of balance problems to work out beyond that, like for this game some maps are too big/small and some objectives are too hard/easy to complete, but I think that once those are sorted out, this game is going to be a fine one.
