Why is it faster to restart the game on ps4 after a match???

I don’t get it. After a game when I’m back at the menu, the little loading emblem appears. During this time I can’t do anything. I can’t start another game, I can’t switch from killer to survivor, I can’t back out. By the time it’s done and I can select ######### i could of restarted the game twice.  What’s wrong? Why is it doing that?  What is the game loading?!

Sounds like the auto save.... You kinda want this to do its job.

Why does it take so god damn long. It takes over 3 full minutes to auto save?!

3 minutes? Ok that sounds like a hardware or game issue. Do you have a digital version or disc?
