I get it. You need it to be 'lucrative' since it is a pay-to-progress-faster perk instead of the free version Survivors get.

But it needs changing.

First an foremost, since the community consensus often times is parroted as "killers don't use it for the aura reading", then remove the aura reading and keep it a pure BP generation perk. Since that seems kind of a jerk move for killers to have to pay for the equivalent of WGLF.... then,

Better yet - and far better yet - remove the BP generation and place it on a generic perk available to any and all killers instead of needing to buy Bubba for it. And keep Bubba's perk purely an 'aura reading' perk; without locking BP generation behind a paywall for killer players.

Second, the Aura reading range minimum should be larger - because 40 meters is REALLY not that far when you're actually in the match. Hell, half the time you swear you're within the 40 and you're not and the killer just turns around and runs to you because you're 1-5 meters off.

Alternative: give Survivors a visual indicator of 'meters away' above downed survivors - even just a 'X m' above their aura (blocked if Blackout is in use, obviously) so Survivors have at least SOME indicator how close/far they are when the killer picks up their friend and they can hurry towards the downed person or find a locker quickly if they're too far away.

Lastly, the aura reading should not be able to show the auras of slugged Survivors.

    Barbecue is fine. It’s effect like WGLF’s is useful and it gives extra a BP

    I get how survivors can see it as annoying but there is a good side to the aura reading for them. It really does promote healthier behavior because it helps killers not camp because they have a small idea where to go next. As a survivor you can counter this by just switching the gen your on or risking it and going for that complete Gen. I fully understand on some killers it can feel quite oppressive such as Freddy who can teleport there but it also really does help promote chasing other survivors when I dont have it I do look but honestly I am just hoping they get unhooked fast or I happen to see someone.

    My main issue, up until WGLF got buffed to be anti-slugging, is the aura reading is on a BP generation perk, meaning it is overwhelmingly common and used and becomes incredibly annoying because of that - just like the Survivor meta/crutch perks.

    At the very least, like one of my suggestions, the BP generation should be its own general-access perk and the aura reading stay on BBQ; so every killer can get the perk without needing to level Bubba. And it cuts down on the people using BBQ just because of the BP bonus being too great to ignore.
